In this video, Trauma-Informed Education Coordinator Surprize Parker will discuss the ways in which adversity can impact young people’s behavior in schools and how adults both in and out of the classroom can respond to that behavior in a trauma-informed, compassionate way. Surprize will explore the importance of including school support staff in building a trauma-informed environment for students, and lastly will discuss how to cultivate staff wellness in schools.
